World renowned technique
A different way to treat lips
The Swedish Lip technique was developed by Dr Gardell in Stockholm, and Caz was the first medical practitioner in the UK to travel out and train in it with her directly.

It is a genuinely advanced technique, using up to three different filler types within one treatment to achieve the right balance of structure, softness and hydration. The result is a beautifully natural, flat lip profile rather than the projected look that many people have come to associate with lip filler — and because of how and where the product is placed, it is a long-lasting technique.
It also softens the perioral lines around the lip border as it goes, which makes it something of a two-in-one treatment.
Patients travel to us from all over the country for this treatment, regularly from Scotland and London, and occasionally from further afield still.

What to expect from your Swedish Lip treatment
Before you book
Every new patient has a complimentary, face-to-face consultation first, so we can talk through what you are hoping for and make sure the technique is right for you.
If you already have filler in your lips
please do not book online. Contact us, email us at hello@thearterclinic.co.uk or send us a WhatsApp to register your interest first, and Caz will advise you personally. Existing product changes how we approach the treatment, and in some cases we will recommend addressing that before anything else
On the day
Topical numbing cream is applied before we begin, so you are comfortable throughout. Caz will assess your lips and surrounding anatomy carefully, and where appropriate ultrasound may be used to map what is already there.
Afterwards
Some swelling and tenderness in the first few days is completely normal, and we will talk you through your aftercare before you leave. We are always at the end of the phone if you have any questions at all once you are home.
