Effective biostimulator
Treating skin quality,
not shape
Polynucleotides are injectable biostimulators, made from highly purified DNA fragments sourced from freshwater trout and salmon. They sit in a different category altogether from dermal filler. Expect skin-quality improvement instead of volumising or shaping. The injectable works at cellular level, activating the fibroblasts within your skin to produce more collagen and improving the overall health and quality of the skin itself. Expect improvements to the skin’s hydration, elasticity, firmness and overall quality.
Results build gradually over a course rather than appearing on the day, which is exactly what you would expect from a treatment working with your own biology.

The treatment
Where we use polynucleotides
Under the eyes
This is where polynucleotides have become best known, and for good reason. The skin here is the thinnest on the face and often the first to show tiredness. Polynucleotides can help with the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and crepey texture, improving the quality of the skin rather than filling the hollow beneath it. For those who are prone to under-eye puffiness or have existing eye bags, polynucleotides are a great option instead of hyaluronic acid based treatments such as dermal filler.
Full face rejuvenation
For overall skin quality, radiance and firmness, particularly where sun damage or dullness is the main concern.
Neck, chest or hands
Areas that show ageing early and are often neglected, and where a regenerative approach works well.
Scalp
Polynucleotides are also used in the scalp for patients interested in hair restoration and density.
Your plan
Polynucleotides are given as a course, and we will map out the right number of sessions and spacing for you at your consultation, based on your skin and what you are hoping to achieve.
On the day
Topical numbing cream is applied first. You may notice small raised areas immediately after treatment, which usually settle within 24 hours.
